Update

Grace started walking in September. She is on the move. She LOVES her sister. She always wants to hug and kiss her. Grace and Addi will look at each other and just smile. It's so cute. Addi is so sweet. We LOVE and adore her. Addi is growing like a weed. She is rolling over, smiling, laughing, and babbling all the time. She is growing out of the fussy newborn stage, which makes waking up at night a little different. Its funny how different kids can be. Grace slept through the night at 10 weeks. Addi is still waking up at least once during the night. Poor Addi has stomach issues. She should be growing out of that soon. Blake and I are so blessed and wouldn't trade this crazy life for anything. God is so good and always provides for us. Here are a few photos of Addi and a couple of them together.

Happy Birthday Gracie Lou!!

On August 27th, we celebrated Grace's 1st birthday with family and friends. Of course, I had to throw a ladybug birthday party. She is our little ladybug! My friend Kimberly and I planned the party together and I am very pleased with the outcome. Below are a some pics. Grace had a great time.

Life has been CRAZY!!!

I can't believe its been two months since my last post. Life is so busy. We welcomed another little girl three weeks ago. Addilynn Anne. She was born July 9th. She looks nothing like Grace. She has a head full of blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Life with two babies under one is insane. There is always something to be done. Although life is crazy Blake and I wouldn't change a thing. We have finally gotten into a routine that works for us. So we are just taking life one day at a time. Gracie still doesn't know how she feels about having a little sister. She pretty much leaves her alone and does her own thing, but there are times when she wants to see her sister. We have to remind her to be gentle and watch every move Grace makes. She has learned to give her kisses and does that a lot. Here are a few pictures of Addi.

Grace is now 11 months old. I can't believe next month we are celebrating her first birthday. Its true what they say, they really do grow up so fast. She is constantly on the go. She has mastered crawling and she can move. I can't believe how she fast she gets from place to place. She pulls herself up onto everything. She will walk as long as she has something to hold on to. She is afraid to let go. We are working with her and hope she will walk on her own soon. She wants to eat/drink whatever we have. She was eating some baby food for awhile, but she is over that. She LOVES drinking water out of her sippy cup or trying to drink from a regular glass. She gets mad if you don't let her. She has started to say dada and mama. She LOVES music. Whenever its one she will either dance, clap, or try to snap. She LOVES Beyonce's "All The Single Ladies". It so fun to watch her dance and get so excited. She is such a joy and we are so lucky to be her parents. I can't wait to see the next things she learns this month.

9 Months

I can't believe my little Gracie is 9 months old. She is getting so big so fast. Everyday she is learning new things and keeping us on our toes. She has learned to crawl (well army crawl), she pulls herself up, she has one tooth, she likes to have you hold her hands and walk with her around the house. She can do this forever and gets mad when you stop. I didn't know a 9 month old could have tantrums. Grace is still drinking from a sippy cup and bottle. She has only a few bottles throughout the day. She still is not a fan of baby food and wants to eat whatever you have. She usually has rice cereal, cherrios, soup, fruits and veggies during the day. We are really enjoying her as she gets older. She really has her own personality and she knows what she wants!!!

Happy Easter

I was SO excited for Gracie's first Easter. I found the cutest basket from PotteryBarn Kids and was always on the lookout for little things to put in it. I was very disappointed when Grace woke up with a fever on Easter morning. She was into her basket for a little bit, but quickly went back to bed. After a few more hours of sleep she woke up in a better mood. We got ready and went to Blake's grandparents house for Easter dinner. All in All it was a great day. We can't wait for Grace to be a little older to really enjoy these things.

Seven Months
Grace is growing up so fast. She is changing everyday. She is sitting up, drinking out of a sippy cup, trying to crawl, laughing, babbling, and HATES baby food. She refuses to eat it. She only likes cereal, but is picking about when she will eat it. She still doesn't have any teeth. She LOVES to watch/stare at people. She doesn't want to miss anything. We have so much fun with her.

6 months!!!!

I can't believe Grace is already six months old! Where does the time go? It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital. She is starting to sit up by herself and we have just started baby food. She LOVES cereal and drinking out of a sippy cup, but she is NOT a fan of any fruits and vegetables. Hopefully, she will start to like them soon. She is laughing and smiling all the time. Blake and I are having so much fun with her. She is such a happy baby. Here are a few new pics of our little Gracie!!!!

Time for an update!

I have been so busy balancing work, motherhood, and being a wife. Its so CRAZY. I know it just takes time, but I feel like nothing is being done. My house is no longer in perfect order, the laundry is overflowing, and everything seems so unorganized. I guess my little Gracie is trying to help cure my ocd!!!!! My last post was months ago! So I have a lot of catching up to do.

4 Months old
Grace turned four months two days after Christmas. She is not a little baby anymore. Everyday she seems to do something different. She has started holding her bottle, becoming very interested in what is going on around her, she loves Mickey Mouse, and loves to play with her toys. She has also started laughing and babbling. She is a lot of fun! Here are some recent photos of her.

Holding her own bottle!

Activity Time!!!

Merry Christmas
Our first Christmas as a family of three was very busy! First, we spent Christmas Eve with my Grandma Maryann. We have been going over there for a long time and its always a ton of fun. Gracie was spoiled with gifts of course! She was given her first snow globe from her Aunt Ashley and the cutest little security blanket (pink with a little bear and ladybug). Her GG (great-grandma Maryann) gave her a savings bond and her first ornament with her name on it! She was also given a train puzzle set from her great grandpa Bill who is in heaven. He and Rusty (Gracie's grandpa) love trains and they hope she has the same love for them! It was a bitter-sweet moment when we opened that gift. After dinner and presents we had one more place to go. Blake's dad's side always celebrates on Christmas Eve as well. So we had to hurry there! Once again Grace was spoiled with gifts. She got some cool toys and really cute outfits. Her cousin Allegra is 4 and really enjoys having another kid around. She says they are best friends, its so adorable. I will post a pic of the two of them when i get it from my in-laws. After a late night, we headed home to get some rest before starting it all over again. Christmas Morning we woke up early and headed over to Blake's parents house. We opened gifts and ate breakfast. Gracie opened more gifts and received more toys and outfits! After that, we headed over to my parents house and opened more gifts. Santa made two stops this year, our house and Grandma Nikki's. Gracie must of been a VERY good girl. Grace was really getting the hang of this whole present thing. She would get really excited as we opened more and more gifts. She played with her toys and then crashed for a few hours. After spending time with at my mom's we headed over to Blake's Aunt Cindy's house for more Christmas fun! Once again, she opened more and more gifts. She has way too many toys now, but they keep her busy!!!

wearing her Grinch pj's!!!!

First overnight trip without Mommy and Daddy...
Blake and I have been going shopping on Black Friday before we were married! We LOVE it. I know some of you may think we are crazy, but we really enjoy it. Now that we are parents, we knew it wasn't any place for a baby. So, the little lady stayed with her Papa Pancho and Grandma Kristie. She did great and only woke up once during the night.

All ready to go!!! She is so cute!

Trying to comfort herself...
Grace started sucking her thumb towards the end of November. It has really helped her to comfort herself when she is tired or when she wakes up in the middle of the night it helps her go back to sleep. I was a thumb sucker when I was little until age 5 and NEVER wanted my children to suck their thumb. Its a hard habit to break, but I think every kid has a habit they have to break as the get older. Besides, it helps her sleep through the night and Blake and I love that!!!
Friday's spent with Daddy...
Blake is now working four ten hour shifts Monday-Thursday. It makes for really long days for him plus he drives home from Phoenix. But he has Fridays off, which he LOVES. He really enjoys being a dad and spending time with Grace. Here are a few photos he took one Friday he was off. She's definitely a daddy's girl.
